Here I came across this burning dryer booster fan. Luckily it hadn’t caused a dryer fire in the suite. Some time ago, months or maybe years the fan jammed and couldn’t spin. But the fan was still getting power. This caused the fan to get clogged up with a huge amount of lint and also caused the fan to build up excessive amount of heat.
The burning dryer booster fan was so hot that even after I had it removed for 45 minutes it was still too hot to touch without burning my fingers.
The good thing, I was able to replace this booster fan motor. I cleaned up the duct work and got everything working great.
